Takes Two To Tango
Chapter 8
"What are you doing here?" she asked.
"If you wanna know this wasn't my plan, it was Valarie's so I played along. Here ya go," he said handing her the elegant rose.
"Thank you Nick," she said taking the rose.
Sitting up in the bed, Sarah said indian style and watched Nick. He went over to the cabinet a pulled out a bottle of wine and then pulled out two glasses.
"Come outside," Nick said as he slid open the glass door.
Walking outside, Sarah was met with a cool breeze. Sitting down in one of the chairs, she focused her attention on the beautiful city bellow. The moon and city lights provided some light on them as they sat out in the balcony of the Embassy Suites Hotel.
"Glass of wine for you young lady," Nick said handing her the kiss.
Taking a sip, she enjoyed the refreshing feeling she got. They sat silently across from each other with a little table between them, just listening to the sound of the city. Sarah could feel Nick's eyes burning through her and looking at her and she did her best to avoid his gaze.
Nick reached across the table and grazed his fingers under her chin making her face his way. "Why won't you look at me?"
Looking into his sparkling blue eyes, she had no answer for him. Nick stood up and went inside the room. Sarah thought by saying nothing she offended him but she didn't. Walking back outside he had a mini-stereo system in his hand. Setting it on the table, he pushed play and the opening violin notes to the Tango began to play.
"May I have this dance?" Nick asked.
"Sure...," she replied taking his hand.
Slowly they swayed to the music and followed each step. She held onto Nick with her dear life as they danced passionately to the tune. Throughout the whole dance she looked into his beautiful blue eyes. Why did he have to look at her that way? she thought melting from his powerful gaze.
The music surely had a power over the two as they danced. Sarah was so lost that she didn't even know the dance had ended. Sometimes she wish the song lasted more than two minutes but unfortunately it didn't.
Again their faces were only inches apart. Sarah could feel his breath on her face breathing raggedly. Was this supposed to be her destiny? What was it about the tango that made them like this? It surely was a dance of passion and emotion. Something you have to feel within.
Before she could register it in her mind, Nick hesitantly pressed his lips to hers. His luscious lips felt soft and tasted sweet against her lips. It had been years since she has kissed a man like that. Since Nick and her separated many years ago she hadn't dated or gone out with other men.
Their lips hungrily searched each other, kissing, their tongues snaking, whimpers sounding. Nick had been wanting to kiss her for a long time and was on cloud nine now. He held her close not wanting to let go of her. He'd been waiting for too long and wasn't about to let her go.
"Nick... we have to stop this," Sarah said breaking away from the kiss. Her heart was still pounding and her lips were swollen from his breathtaking kiss.
"Why do you push me away? Sarah, I love you," he told her running a hand through her brown hair. Sarah sighed feeling his soft hand touch her.
"I mean... I just can't grasp the fact you're always going to be on tour... I mean... it's something I don't wanna deal with,"
"If you want I can quit the Backstreet Boys,"
"Oh No! You can't and will not do that for me. I just don't know anymore...,"
"Just give me a chance, I'll wait as long as I have to for you... so we can be together, you, me, and Ethan,"
"Noooooooo," Sarah whined pushing away from his grasp.
"No? Why no? Doesn't this mean anything to you at all," Nick said pulling her back into his arms and giving her a breath taking kiss. Then after five seconds he release looking at her, her lips were parted and her breathing was ragged.
Again Sarah was a loss for words. She couldn't exactly say it meant nothing to her...
"I lost you once, i'm not loosing you again... I love you Sarah, I'll wait an eternity for you... Just think about it.. i'll be waiting for your answer," and with that said Nick walked back inside and then exited the room.
Running a finger over her lips, they still tingled with the touch of Nick's lips. Walking back into the warm room she flopped back onto the mattress and held a pillow close to her. Slowly she fell asleep with visions of her and Nick.
