Takes Two To Tango
Chapter 6
"Hahaha very funny Sarah," Nick said trying to make light of the situation but he looked at Sarah. Her eyes were dead serious. Looking at Ethan he did notice a resemblance between him and himself.
"I had him a few months after you ummm... yeah,"
"Oh,"
"Ethan come here to mommy," she said. Taking him into her arms, Ethan was chewing in his fingers.
"You see this man over here," she said pointing at Nick, "This is daddy."
"Dwaddy?"
"Daddy. Yes, he's your dad," she sighed.
"Umm.. May I?" Nick asked tentatively wanting to hold his son.
"Sure," she said handing him Ethan.
Looking down at the little boy he was surprised. Him a father and he didn't know it. What made it more special to him was it was his and Sarah's child. Nick started to get his hopes up, knowing in no time him and Sarah could together once again and be a family.
Sarah opened the door, "Come on in Nick."
The two talked. Filling in the gaps of the three years they did not see each other. They said everything but didn't admit to their feelings to each other. Sarah could not believe she was letting herself do this. What was it about Nick that made her feel this way?
"I think you better go now, you saw me, and you talked to me, I need to sleep and get up early tomorrow,"
"All right... can I see umm.. Ethan tomorrow," Nick asked wanting to see her as well but not including it in the sentence.
"I guess you can," she said.
Looking at Sarah one last time he said goodbye to her and Ethan. Walking to his car a lot has happened in such a short time. Finding out he had a three year old son was too much for him. Driving home he wondered how he would break it to his family and friends. There also had to be a way he could convince Sarah to take him back and work something out.
Nick drove home a determined man.

"So are like you and Nick like back together or something? I didn't hear any screaming or fighting,"
"No we are not back together," Sarah hissed flopping down on her bed.
"Well do you want to be back together?" Valarie asked.
"Huh? No of course not! You must be crazy thinking I wanna get back with him,"
"Awwwww how cute you are in such denial. You still love Nick,"
"Do not,"
"Do to,"
"Do not,"
"Do to infinity,"
"Oh gosh Valarie...,"
"But it's in your eyes Sarah, you still love him,"
"You know what even if I still love him it wouldn't work out, he's hardly home and i'm busy we'd never see each other,"
"Hello? You make time for each other, find time, surely there's some time left for you and Nick,"
"No there isn't and would you please get out of my room, you're disturbing me,"
"Fine, deny all you want but you can never fight what's right and how your heart feels Sarah," and with that Valarie exited the room.
