Takes Two To Tango
Chapter 2
Nick sat, first class by the window, in the airplane and watched the skyline as the plane began to desend onto the runway. The captain did his *thank you for flying with us* speech and then passengers began to exit the plane.
Grabbing his handbag carryon he made his way to luggage and picked up his suitcase and then made his way to rent-a-car to do exactly what it meant. After getting a car he drove to San Fernando valley to the estate he bought for his family to live in.
Finally he arrived, and after the gates were opened for him he drove down the mini road and parked in front of the mansion. He was met with his little brother and sister, Aaron and Angel who both took Nick on both sides.
"Hey you two, where's mom and dad?" Nick asked as he walked into the house.
"Oh, they're in the backyard, barbecuing some food," Aaron replied as they lead him into the backyard where his other two sisters were there as well.
They all greeted him excitidly and gave Nick a hug. Nick forgot what it was like to be with his family and it felt like a good escape just to be relaxing and not have to worry about doing this and that.
After eating dinner and doing some catching up, Nick yawned. What he wanted and really needed now was a goodnights sleep. He was still exhausted from that long flight. Saying goodnight to everyone, he excused himself and went upstairs to find his room. Opening the door it was still arranged the same way. Just the way it was when he left.
Walking around he saw some items he forgot he had. Sitting down at his desk, he scanned photos above it thumb tacked to a bulletin board. He smiled as he saw some wacky pictures of himself, family, friends, and fellow Backstreet Boys.
Then he spotted a picture of him and *S* pinned on the bottom right corner. Taking the thumb tack that held it up there, he examined the picture. He was surprised he still had that picture. It was back in 1997, in October, it was her eighteenth birthday and he threw her a surprise birthday party. He would not forget the smile on her face when she saw he surprised her. Also he would never forget that night, it was the first time he and her made love.
Nick didn't know how and why they separated. It just all happened to fast and words he didn't mean to say escaped his lips. He merely blamed his stupidity for their break up. Sighing, he was doing it again. Getting stuck in the past, he looked at the picture one last time, he was smiling, she was smiling, everyone in the backround was smiling.
Having enough of this emotional moment, Nick stuffed the picture inside a book that was on his desk and lied down on his bed. He needed to move on, grabbing the cordless phone on the nightstand he dialed a familar number.
"Hello?" a female voice answered.
"Hey Lena... I missed ya baby,"

"And don't forget to read Chapter twelve in your Economics book tonight," Professor Anshaw said and then the bell rang.
Throwing her backpack over her shoulder and grabbing her books, Sarah made her way out of her last class of the day. She sighed and thought, Just one last semester and i'm graduating, finally. She was a Senior at the University of Los Angeles better known as UCLA.
Making her way to the bathroom, she made a quick change into her business wear for the office so she'd blend right in with the other workers. At Real Estate Inc. she was the youngest person there and did her hardest to prove herself worthy and capable of being part of the business.
Arriving at the office a few minutes later, she went to her desk and sat. Looking over the list her boss made up for her to do she sighed. It was a very long list and looking at the time she knew she'd have to work late again.
Since she was a new addition to the office she didn't have a steady schedule like everyone else. Sometimes she'd work before she'd go to school or right after. It really depended on when they needed her but they gave her the oppurtunity to not work during school hours which she was greatful for.
Time passed and she was working for five hours straight, typing in files of new customers that had bought homes within the past month. Registering new home buying within the firm and so on. She was so caught up in her work she didn't notice her boss saying her name.
"Sarah?" he asked tapping her shoulder.
She was shocked when she felt someone tap her shoulder. Turning around she saw her boss Mr. Bradford. Pushing her glass back, she muttered an apology.
"Wow, you really are an effective worker Hampton and I really appreciate it. Our company is throwing a little banquet for the firm and celebration of it's anniversary and how it's the top real estate service in the area. I thought I would invite you myself and be our guest of honor since you are only a rookie you have proved yourself to be dedicated and motivated and I like that in worker."
Sarah smiled weakly. Mr. Bradford handed her an invitation. "Also because of this i'm deciding since you have come to work all the time and even took overtime on several occassions i'm giving a steady schedule so that you don't have to be running all over the place.
"Oh my gosh thank you sir," she said excitidly.
"You're welcome, hope to see you at the banquet which is in three days, Saturday evening at the Mariot hotel,"
