"I freaking won tickets to see Backstreet at Live in the Vineyard in Napa!!! :O :O :O :O - 2 exclusive pictures from Backstreet's concert in New Zealand - My Update List - Don't forget to check out my other website www.eliminatefullprice.com"
I hope everyone had a great Easter. Mine was very boring. It rained the whole day. I ended up watching The Hurt Locker on DVD and found the nature of the movie fit the gloomy weather here.
Don't forget you can still read Fantasy/Reality part 54! There's only one comment on the blog so far from Jessica so I'm kind of getting paranoid about the story now :-\
On Saturday April 10th and Sunday April 11th Backstreet will be doing 2 separate performances in Napa, Ca. The Sunday April 11th performance is a fan event where tickets are available to the public. As I mentioned in my previous post I plan to attend this event.
The Saturday April 10th performance will take place at an event called Live in the Vineyard. Tickets can only be won through radio station contests, online contests, or an eBay auction. No tickets are sold to the public. I didn't think there was a chance I could attend Live in the Vineyard because I barely listen to the radio so I wouldn't know when tickets would be given away, I had already lost 2 online contests, and the eBay auction for tickets went up to $2,755 which is way out of my budget.
On March 30th, I was scrolling through my Facebook page when I noticed Aloft Hotels, one of the sponsors of Live in the Vineyard, posted a status update. They announced they would be giving away the final two pairs of tickets to Live in the Vineyard between March 31st and April 2nd. All a person had to do to win was be the first person to answer the question they post. The hard part about the giveaway was not knowing the exact time the question would be posted.
I set my alarm to wake me up at 9am on March 31st. Once my alarm went off, I turned on my laptop and watched the Aloft Hotels Facebook page like a hawk. I got restless as each hour passed but I was determined to win. I kept repeating in my mind I want this. I want to win. I will win.
Nearly 5 hours later at around 1:45pm, I saw Aloft Hotels update their Facebook page with the question! Without hesitation, I answer the question, do the sign of the cross, and pray to God I was first to answer.
I thought I had to wait a long time to find out who the winner was. I was just glad I didn't have to keep watching Aloft's Facebook any longer. I was afraid I might have to watch it until the evening.
About 15 minutes after answering the question I get an e-mail telling me I won 2 tickets to Live in the Vineyard plus a 4 day, 3 night stay at the Silverado Resort in Napa, Ca! :O :O :O
I jumped out of my chair and chanted "YES! YES! YES!"
This is definitely one of the best prizes I have ever won. I was already happy about seeing Backstreet on Sunday April 11th for the fan event so winning tickets to Live in the Vineyard was just the icing on the cake for me.
One of my great readers, Jessica, shared with me 2 pictures her friend Nick took at Backstreet's concert in New Zealand. Just click on each picture to look at the larger version.
Nick's jeans are a bit snug in the crotch area... ;)
I love it when he shows off his arms. They are so beautifully sculpted.
I know Yahoo Groups aren't as popular as they were but I still like to use my Yahoo Group BerryDeliciousNickC to alert you all of updates. I've had it since January 10, 2000! Jessica, the one who sent me the New Zealand pictures, asked me to add her to my update list. It's probably been over a year since I've logged in to the BerryDeliciousNickC account on Yahoo. Out of curiosity, I looked through the members. The list has 280 members and sadly 179 members have e-mail addresses that are bouncing! :( Bouncing means the e-mails I've been sending through BerryDeliciousNickC are not going through.
If you're a member of the BerryDeliciousNickC yahoo group make sure to update your e-mail address so that you can get e-mails on when I update Flirting With Obscene. Don't worry about getting too many e-mails from me. I usually send an e-mail when I put Fantasy/Reality on the website and/or if there's interesting Backstreet Boys news.
It kind of makes me sad to see 179 people not active on my update list anymore. Thank you to the rest of you who are still active on my list! Post on my shoutbox here if you're still a member of my update list on Yahoo Groups.
If you haven't already, please check out my blog called Eliminate Full Price www.eliminatefullprice.com. I post about the prizes I won, the freebies I get in the mail, and discounts I find.

April - Thank you for thinking the update was great! I still can't believe I have front row for Sunday's fan event and tickets for Live in the Vineyard on Saturday. I will do my best to take pix and videos. Congrats on both your parents finding a job. That gives me hope there's soemthing out there for me soon. The songs are definitely beautifully arranged. I love Nick's voice so much. That's an interesting observation you made about Nick not talking to one parent when he's talking to the other. I'm so close to my parents so I can't imagine going more than a day not communicating with them. Thanks for the finger crossing on my refund. I ended up getting a tiny one but it's better than nothing. My refund was $89 for federal and $8 for state so that's $97 total. You take care too and thank you for your endless support :D
Jessica - Thank you again for sending me the gorgeous pictures! I just got the reply you sent so I'll answer that e-mail as soon as I can!
Dawn - Aw, I know the chapter was a bit sad but it's what my mind showed me to write. Hopefully everything will be getting better in the upcoming parts that I haven't even really thought about yet :p I still can't believe I'm seeing Backstreet so close in a few days. It really won't sink in for me until I'm actually there in the venue. I hope you get a chance to see Backstreet this summer. They seem to be going to places they haven't been to in years. The drama is endless with my family. My mom, my dad, and me have no drama but it's all these people around us who constantly bitch and complain about us like we're evil people when they're the ones who need to look in the mirror. Sometimes it's tough being the nice people in the family. It's reassuring that you understand the pain I'm going through and lets me know I'm not alone. I hope that soon we can overcome all this drama because I'm so sick of it.

I got the writing juices flowing this week. I stayed up till past 5am in the morning on Thursday March 25th finishing up Fantasy/Reality part 54. I wanted to sleep but I kept on writing. I was afraid if I didn't get what was in my head into words that it would be a long time before I got around to finishing part 54.

Backstreet Boys have been giving my credit card a big work out this past week!
After a long debate with myself I decided to take the dive and go on the Backstreet Boys cruise in December. I've never been on a cruise and I've never been to the east coast before so this will be a huge adventure for me.
At first I thought I wouldn't go but I asked on Livedaily if anyone needed a cabin roommate. Holly, one of my lovely readers who also posts on Livedaily, kindly offered to let me room with her and join a friend of hers who is also a Backstreet fan. I can't wait for December! If any of you are attending the cruise let me know. I'd love to meet you :D
Right after the cruise went on sale, the official Backstreet website announced Backstreet was going to be in Napa, Ca on April 11th. They haven't been to the Bay Area since 2005 for a Never Gone concert in Concord, Ca (which wasn't even a full concert because there was a power outage and they had to stop performing.)
Their show in Napa is supposed to be a special 8 song acoustic set. Tickets cost $209.95 a person. Ouch! I'm planning on going even though tickets are expensive :\
Tickets went on sale last Friday at noon. I was a bit nervous about the whole ticketing process. Buying tickets for Backstreet Boys related events tend to be a hassle. My paranoid mind thought what if I get a really lame seat. I haven't bought an assigned seat ticket for a Backstreet Boys concert since 2008.
Right when noon struck on Friday March 19th, I pressed the "BUY" button on the Backstreet Boys fan club website. I was shocked when I saw I got a seat in the front row and in the center! This has been the first time I have ever bought a front row ticket to a Backstreet Boys show! The closest I have ever bought before was 2nd row. I'm still in shock and I don't think it'll sink in until I'm actually there.
Since we're on the subject of Backstreet shows, on the Backstreet Boys website a whole bunch of US tour dates were announced. They're doing four shows in California :O Two shows will be in northern California in San Francisco. The other two shows will be in southern California in Los Angeles and Temecula.
It looks like the two San Francisco shows will be general admission. I HATE GENERAL ADMISSION! The two shows in southern California are assigned seating. I am thankful though that after so many years they're finally giving northern California lots of love. Maybe they know I'm tired of driving to LA :p
Speaking of expensive things... I got an e-mail from Dreamhost (the company that hosts Flirting With Obscene). If I want to keep my website online I have to pay them $119.24 for one year of hosting :( I haven't paid yet and I wish I could find a cheaper place but I don't feel like moving all my files to another host. The timing of this bill is horrible because I just charged my credit card for the Backstreet cruise deposit and the Napa show. It's times like this I miss having a paycheck.
I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask but if you want to make a donation to help keep Flirting With Obscene online for another year just click on the Paypal Donate Now button. Even just a dollar would mean so much to me. I would hate to have this website go away.
That's also part of the reason I placed ad banners here. If you noticed I placed Fandango ads at the top and bottom of this site. If you buy a movie ticket or Fandango bucks from clicking the banners above I get about 10 cents in my account. I know it's not a lot but the littlest helps me out so much.
The full "Nick" version of Unmistakable has leaked online. I like how he sounds in the beginning. It's so pretty with just his voice and the piano. You can listen to it here on youtube:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B072EpHwubA
The Beautiful Lie acoustic version music video is online. The way Nick uses his hands while he's singing in the video makes me giggle. He has too many hand motions going on.
You can watch it on youtube here:

I love it when karma is served. Here's a little background:
In 2008, I made a thread on Livedaily about what happened to my mom at a picnic. I wrote about how my mom always gives her siblings money and through the power of Google one of my mom's siblings (my uncle) found what I wrote. That one sibling told his wife who then cried over what I wrote and then he told the rest of my mom's siblings (2 other uncles & 1 aunt) and they got (still are) mad at me. They all took what I wrote as an insult. My point in writing what I wrote was to express how I feel so much sympathy for my mom. She is too generous sometimes. Even when people treat her like crap she still gives them gifts.
My cousin, the daughter of my uncle who found what I wrote on Google and my aunt who cried over what I wrote, decided to send me a message on livedaily. She pretty much cursed me out in her broken english. (That's why my parents and I nicknamed her God Damn It because in the message she used that expression multiple times :p) She told me "What goes around comes around."
This past weekend, I found out she got a big dose her own medicine served to her. My other uncle who lives in Washington e-mailed her out of nowhere and complained to her about her parents and how they're selfish and greedy.
I can't help but feel smug about this ;) I joked to my mom and said I want to shove that message she sent me to her face and go HAHA.
Speaking of family drama... my other cousin was caught shoplifting and now my mom has another problem on her plate. For those who don't know, my 3 cousins live with my parents and me because their dad died and their mom is in a coma. While their situation is sad, they are so rude and disrespectful. All 3 of them have been caught shoplifting. The oldest went to jail for it. Now the second child was caught and has two strikes on his record now. What he stole was less than $3.00 but now my mom has to pay $350.00 to Spencers (the store he stole from). My mom really wants to let go of her responsibility to my cousins but she feels sorry for them despite the shitty way they all treat her :(
The following is going to be a big rant from me so if you're not in the mood for rants don't read any further. What I'm about to write is mainly for me. I have so much frustration built up inside me and I just want to express my pain.
Even though last week was great for me in the Backstreet department, I suffered a huge disappointment in the job department.
I'm constantly looking for a job and for the first time in months I received a call for a job interview in San Francisco. I hoped and prayed that this would finally be the moment I've been waiting over a year for.
I went to the interview and it was surprisingly short. It was probably less than 5 minutes. The interviewer asked me about 4 or 5 questions and that was it. The past job interviews I've been on were painfully long and lasted more than 30 minutes.
The day after the interview I get the same e-mail I've received in the past. It's always the same words but from a different person. Thank you for your time but we are currently pursuing another candidate... blah blah blah We'll keep your resume on file for future positions... blah blah blah. It's always the same stupid bullshit everytime -_-
It just hurts so much to not feel wanted by companies. I did my best in college. I took classes I thought would give me the necessary skills to make it in the workplace. I gave my internship/production assistant position at ABC all that I could in almost 2 years of work and they dismiss me and never called me back. They totally wrote me off like I didn't exist and like I didn't do shit for them.
Not even working for a decently rated talk show on ABC helps being on my resume. I used to think having ABC on my resume would be a great accomplishment for prospective employers but it clearly isn't. My dad even suggested that maybe I shouldn't even put that I worked at ABC anymore on my resume. I told him if I don't put ABC on my resume, then I would have nothing to put.
It's not even companies that have rejected me. I got rejected from graduate school last year and it still stings me. I can't find a job and I can't even get into graduate school. The icing on cake of rejection for me was having my short story pulled last minute from the Best Women's Erotica 2010 book. Being in that book would've been the highlight of my writing career but nooooooooo for some reason they cut my story out.
I'm sick of crying myself to sleep most nights. I don't want to cry but the tears find their way out. On Sunday, I cried 3 times because I was so fucking pissed at my neighbors and cousins. My room is right next to my neighbors who love to blast their music obnoxiously loud. I try to get away from it but when I go to the other side of the house, my cousins are blasting their music too.
I have no where to go in this house for any peace and quiet. The only way to escape the noise is to go out but I don't want to leave. Why should I have to leave the comfort of my own home? I've lived in the house since 1990 and it's only since 2005 to present that I've had to deal with the stupid loud noise people make. (If you remember how angry Nick was during House of Carter's when Aaron was blasting his music, that's exactly how I feel.)
I just don't understand why all this is happening to me. Why I can't find a job? Why can't I find a school? Why can't I have peace and quiet in my home? And then on top of all of those my self-esteem issues kick in and then I think why am I so fat? Why am I so ugly? It hurts so much. My parents tell me that everything will be okay but when?
I want a job so that I can make money, so that I can move out and get away from these noisy neighbors and annoying cousins.
With all these thoughts circulating in my brain, it's so hard for me to find the strength to write sometimes. How can I imagine when I have all these distractions and stressful things around me?
This is why most of the time I try to escape to Backstreet events as much as I can. Seeing Backstreet always makes me smile and makes me feel happy.

April - I hope you can get to Vegas soon! It's a fun place to be. Thanks for the compliment on my bag! I just can't resist a good deal. During the beginning of the Nick chat at his fan club, my heart was racing so fast. I really wanted at least one of my questions to be answered. When he finally said my screen name I was over the moon. I hope he does another chat soon. I agree, the cruise super expensive but I felt I might as well seize the moment. During Nick's chat on the fan club Nick said he mom would be going on the cruise and on Twitter someone saw Angel tweet she would be on the cruise too. So hopefully his mommy and sister will keep him from doing something stupid. Wow, your friend Chris got a great refund! I'd be happy with half that amount. Definitely keep your fingers crossed for me!
Dawn - Thanks for letting me know you're still around. I hope you're doing good in school and that you don't get too stressed out. I hope you enjoy the next part of Fantasy/Reality :)
Jessica - I hope you, Nick, and Lolly enjoy the latest part of Fantasy/Reality. I'd love to see the pictures your friend took at the NZ concert! If your friend doesn't mind, I'd love to post them here on the site. I could always use inspiration and I enjoy looking at new pictures of Nick. Thanks for the reminder on needing to reply to the comments left on Fantasy/Reality. I'm so behind but I finally caught up!

"Clip of Nick answering my question during his fan club chat - New Nick song leak: The Great Divide"
I'm seriously debating on whether or not to go ahead and just update Fantasy/Reality with what I have. It's about 1,000 words right now so I don't know if y'all prefer that or a longer update. Let me know. If I update with what I have right now it would be a cliff hanger but if I keep going... I don't know cause I'm not there yet lol
I found out on Thursday that Nick was doing a chat at his fan club nickcarter.net. I originally thought the chat would happen on Friday but I found out from Livedaily that the chat was happening Friday New Zealand time. Which meant Thursday in United States time.
Thursday was the longest I've been logged on to Nick's fan club. I haven't visited it in months. I was beginning to think it was a total waste of money until the chat :p He better do more chats in the future because they're fun. I love watching Nick answering questions and seeing his mannerisms.
The chat was decent. Nick handled the questions very well. Although it was obvious to me that the questions were heavily screened by Eddie and Matt, two guys who help run the fan club. Some of the questions made me raise an eyebrow. One person asked him about farting on stage.
I submitted a ton of questions but only one was picked. I noticed there was a keyboard behind him so I asked Nick, I see there's a keyboard behind you, can you play a song for me?
He didn't play a song for me but I was glad out of the gazillion questions that were submitted mine was one of the lucky few that was chosen. The icing on the cake for me was the way he said my screen name. My screen name at both the Backstreet Boys fan club and Nick fan club is BedtimeDelicious.
Before he read my question, he paused and stared at the screen with his face scrunched up. Then his voice dropped about an octave and he said "BedtimeDelicious." *sigh* I loves it :p
I managed to get a clip of him answering my question. Just click on the play button below and you can watch it here:
Original Video - More videos at TinyPicIf the video above doesn't play for you then you can watch the video at this link here: http://tinypic.com/r/2z7mtt0/5
A beautiful picture of Nick during the chat was posted on his and Backstreet's twitter accounts. If you look closely you can see his deodorant at the corner of the table. Someone asked him what cologne he wears and he said he doesn't wear any. The only thing he puts on to smell good is deodorant.
A song Nick co-wrote called "The Great Divide" has leaked. You can listen to the song here on youtube (unless by the time you read this it's taken down due to a copyright violation). It's supposedly a demo so it's not the final version. I think it's an okay song but the beat is a bit annoying.
sun young from Livedaily scanned pictures of Nick and Brian from a Korean magazine called Hottracks. It's always nice to see Frick and Frack together. The article is in Korean so I have no idea what they talk about. If you're Korean feel free to translate it for me.
If you haven't already, please check out my other blog called Eliminate Full Price. I've added some posts about stuff I've gotten at a deep discount and cool things I've gotten for free. I also updated the layout so it looks really fresh!
I recently received a Rebecca Minkoff bag which you can see me modeling in the picture below. I saved nearly $300.00 off its retail price. You can read more about my savings at http://www.eliminatefullprice.com

April - Being in Las Vegas was so much fun. I'm itching to go back now that I have an idea of where to go and what to see. I used to think it was super expensive to stay in a hotel on the Strip but I discovered if I book a room during the weekdays it's so much cheaper. A decent hotel like the MGM Grand can cost as low as $60 during Monday through Thursday but $200 during the weekend. I'm still undecided on the cruise. I really want to go but so far I don't have anyone to share a cabin with. If the price for being alone is not outrageously expensive then I might go. I can understand how certain fans and Nick potentially whoring out might taint the cruise but I think Brian, Howie, and AJ will definitely make up for that. Whenever I go to Applebees I usually order the crispy fried shrimp with french fries and cole slaw. I also LOVE their buffalo wings. Thanks for sharing the Taylor pic with me. My dirty mind thought the pic would show some junk but I was pleased to see it was a sensual picture. I haven't even done my taxes yet. I need to get them done soon. I don't even know if I'll be getting a refund because I was unemployed for most of 2009. I'd love to get a new computer but I'm not in place right now to buy one.

"March already?! - Nick in Australia - Vegas baby & Meeting Kim Kardashian - 2 US tour dates - Backstreet Cruise"
*taps screen* Are y'all still with me? Give me a holla and let me know y'all are still here with me *puppy dog face*
This year is going by so fast. I can't believe it's already March. I'm still working on Fantasy/Reality part 54 so it should be up soon. This past week I had to deal with my mom's laptop malfunctioning. I don't know exactly what caused the problem. I just noticed on Tuesday when I turned on the laptop, it would freeze after one minute. The laptop worked in safe mode but I wanted to be in normal mode.
I ran so many virus scans that took hours. I tried deleting programs and adjusting the start up settings but the laptop kept freezing. I had no choice but to reformat the hard drive. I've only been using the laptop since December 2009 so there weren't many files I had to back up. The laptop is working fine right now but I am just so fed up with HP computers. My mom's laptop malfunctioning is the 3rd HP laptop to have had a problem in my house. First, my cousin's laptop broke in November, then my desktop computer broke in December, and now my mom's laptop messed up in March.
You would think that by now there would be computers out there resistant to having problems.
On February 25th, I went on a road trip to Las Vegas because I had won a 3 day 2 night stay at the Rio Vegas Hotel. Plus Kim Kardashian from Keeping Up With The Kardashian's was making an appearance at the Sephora in the Venetian Hotel. Watching Keeping Up With The Kardashian's is one of my guilty pleasures. I tried to resist but I got sucked into their show.
Here's my picture with Kim and you can read about my entire experience meeting her along with other pictures I took in Vegas at my other website http://www.eliminatefullprice.com
As of right now, the blog post I wrote for the Linea Pelle Life and Style Blog is on the main page. I wrote a blog titled "Catastrophe in Chile" which you can read here: http://www.lpcollection.com/lifeandstyleblog/
If you can leave a comment on my blog post on Chile at the Linea Pelle website it would mean so much to me. I really want to show them I'm a serious writer and that I would love to continue writing for their website.
It was recently announced that in December 2010 Backstreet Boys would be hosting a cruise in which fans can attend. I'm considering going but I'm not completely sure yet. I keep thinking it's a once in a lifetime experience but then I'm scared of how much it'll cost.
There's a lot of mixed reviews on Livedaily about the cruise. People are predicting it'll be tons of drama and that the cruise will be filled with "stalkers." Maybe I'm an optimist but I really don't think the cruise will be that bad.
Of course if you go into a situation with a certain attitude or high expectations you'll be more likely to be disappointed with the outcome. I personally would love to go and have a chance to see new places and hang out with fellow Backstreet fans. I've never been to the east coast before. Plus I was thinking if I do go on the cruise, I can use the plane tickets I won from My Coke Rewards to fly to Florida.
Pre-sale tickets for the cruise go on sale March 15th through the Backstreet Boys fan club. Prices haven't been released yet but if any of you are considering going on the cruise please let me know. If there's an opportunity to book a cabin with more than 1 person for a cheaper price I'd be willing to share with someone.
Another reason I'm still not completely sure if I want to go on the Backstreet cruise is the US This is Us tour dates haven't all been released yet. The fan club released 2 dates so far:
-Thursday, June 3rd in Atlanta, GA @ Chastain Park Amphitheater
-Saturday, June 26th in Universal City, CA @ Gibson Amphitheater
I am sure I'll be going to the show in Universal City, Ca so if any of you are planning to go let me know. I'm always open to hanging with any of you.
I just wish Backstreet's management team would stop teasing us and just release all of the tour dates already. I want to plan out which shows I want to go to. Plus I want to see if I'm better off going to multiple concerts with VIP access and not going on the curise or going to 1 concert and then going on the cruise.
Backstreet Boys are currently on tour in Australia. Here are some new pictures of Nick. I love his t-shirt and jeans ensemble but I'm still not sure about the hat.
In this picture he looks like he's about to beat someone up here:
I just want to do a trillion naughty things to him like... read my stories and you'll see what I want to do to him :p
See more picture at the Pop Star High Resolution Gallery.
Apparently Nick loves the hat because he's wearing it again in this picture. I'm not sure about the jacket. I think if Nick was wearing a different shirt underneath it would look better on him. I don't like the clashing of the design on the shirt and the pattern of his jacket. He should have worn a plain white t-shirt underneath. BUT the look he's giving the camera makes my opinion null :p
*
April - I don't know what it's like to be addicted to alcohol and drugs so I can only imagine how it feels. It definitely looks like a tough battle and I wish Nick the best in his journey to a healthier lifestyle. I unfortunately wished 7 minutes of my life watching MBA's video. The video wasn't exciting and I didn't even bother to watch MBA's video response to the fans talking about what happened in the 7 minute video he posted. MBA apparently saw the fans comments online about Nick drinking in Vegas and he said something about it. I don't know exactly what though.
Oh, April I'm trying to keep my opinions civil on Lauren. The dress wasn't very flattering especially since it was a lot of boobage. It didn't help that there's rumors she recently got a boob job. Did you hear about that? I don't know if it's true or not. I don't see or hear Nick complaining about it lol I do wonder if her dress was designer or something from a department store. I wonder why she would try out for a beauty pageant. When I think pageants I think little girls and teenage girls. She seems too old to be a pageant contestant.
Meeting Channing was one of the highlights of my year so far. He's so warm and friendly. I did see his interview on Ellen and I was laughing so hard when he danced for her. Maybe someday we'll get a lapdance from him :p
If you go to AZ in June you might be there in time for the Backstreet Boys tour since on June 26th they'll be in CA. Maybe after you go to AZ you might be able to come to CA to see them in concert?
Thanks for the tips on what to get at Olive Garden. I'm just so used to going to Chili's and Applebees because they're so close to my house. Olive Garden is a bet farther away from me. White chocolate cheesecake with resberry swirl sounds so delicious! I LOVE white chocolate.
Mandy - That makes me feel better to know I wasn't the only one to not have a Valentine on Valentine's Day. Hopefully someday we'll have so many Valentine's to choose from :p Aw, so you're from Thailand? That is really cool. It's been years since I've been to Asia and I'd love to go back. Maybe next time we'll be able to go back to Asia when Backstreet tours there in the future. I want the Japanese magazine too. I know some people have been successful in finding it at Japanese stores in the US.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I have absolutely nothing planned for today. I don't have a Valentine :(
I told myself yesterday that I hope all these years of having sucky Valentine's Days will mean that when I'm 50 years old I will have the most spectacular Valentine's Day ever.
To my Chinese readers (if I have any???) Happy New Year!
I was totally flowing with Fantasy/Reality a few days ago. I have about 1,136 words written so far. I'm probably about 50% done with part 54.
I don't even know where to start with this babbling. I do know Nick had his 30th birthday party in Las Vegas a few weeks ago. There was a little controversy about how he celebrated his birthday.
On livedaily there was a discussion about him drinking alcohol and smoking either a cigarette or cigar or even weed. I wasn't there so I don't know exactly what happened. Since it is public knowledge he has a heart condition there are fans who are concerned about his health. I'm not his doctor but I would hope that he's not getting sucked back into his bad habits. I do think it was lame he was smoking something though. I'm not a fan of smoking so seeing him do that put 10 points into the lame category for me.
If you haven't seen the pictures from Nick's birthday party you can see them here at Kaos Online. You have to register to see the pictures but don't worry it's free to join.
There was an article posted on Radar Online where it was mentioned Nick "made it rain" at the club where he was celebrating his birthday. I wish Nick would make it rain when I'm nearby lol For those who aren't aware of what making it rain means, simply put it's when someone throws money. It's more common at strip clubs.
The Japanese magazine In Rock has Backstreet on the cover! They look so adorable in their contruction worker hats. Plus Nick looks ultra delicious in his solo picture. I love how Nick looks so happy to be wearing the contruction worker hat but Howie looks like he's totally not feeling the hat.
The official Backstreet Boys youtube posted this video of Backstreet throwing paper airplanes to the fans. I thought it was a cute video.
Watch the "Air Mail" video here
Backstreet is currently on tour in Asia. If I had a gazillion dollars to spare I would LOVE to attend their concert in Manila, Philippines. My parents have been wanting to go to the Philippines for the longest time but it's just not in our budget. Plus my parents have my three cousins they're taking care of to worry about. My cousins are not the kind of people you can trust to leave alone in the house without adult supervision.
Plus it would have been perfect if my parents and I could have gone to the Philippines because my nephew FINALLY passed the nursing exam! He failed the exam about 4 times before passing the exam he took in November 2009.
Almost everyone in my family was making fun of him for failing so many times and even I was doubting he could ever pass. I'm glad he finally passed the exam and that he can get his nursing license. It actually inspired me to know he passed. He could have easily quit after failing the second or third time but the combination of him wanting to pass so badly and my dad really believing in him helped a lot.
Knowing he passed reassured me that if you really want to achieve a goal in your life you can do it as long as you keep on believing in yourself.
I recently became an independent writer for the Linea Pelle blog. I have one blog published so far on their website. I wrote about three actresses on the Screen Actors Guild red carpet. It would mean so much if you all could leave a comment on my blog to show Linea Pelle I can get people to visit their site.

On January 29th, I went to San Francisco to meet Channing Tatum. I've been wanting to meet him ever since I missed my opportunity in 2006. He has such a warm aura. The positive energy he oozed was so infectious. When we hugged, I totally melted and felt tons of fuzzies when his lips lightly brushed my cheek. I told him he was looking sharp in his outfit. He smiled and said "Thank you sweetheart." I melted all over again when he called me "sweetheart." *sigh* He is definitely one of the nicest celebs I've ever met.
If you haven't already, please check out my new blog called Eliminate Full Price (http://www.eliminatefullprice.com) I blog about the great deals and freebies I get. My recent deal was pants that cost $8.22 at Macy's. I also received some great "Dear John" freebies and other fun freebies. You can read all about it on Eliminate Full Price!

Steph. W - Yay for cute :D
April - Aw, I'm glad you enjoyed the story about my parents. Some people are addicted to drugs but I'm addicted to savings. I do my best to research ways to save before spending a penny. I get such a rush from using a coupon and seeing the savings on my receipt.
That's good HP found the right adapter for you! I haven't started my process yet with getting my HP computer fixed. I think that's so nice of you to want to buy your parents a laptop. Right now I am loving eBay so it wouldn't hurt putting the adapter up for auction. I have to ask, when you got your laptop fixed, did you sent it directly to HP or get it fixed somewhere else? If you sent it to HP, how exactly did you start that process?
That's too bad about your possible trip to Vegas. I wish I could take you with me if and when I go to Vegas to use my Vegas hotel prize. I've never been to Olive Garden before. What do you recommend getting there? I know Kendra from the Original Girls Next Door LOVES Olive Garden a lot lol
AJ's engagement was very out of the blue but I guess sometimes you just know who you want to marry. But at the same, I think AJ is in love with the idea with marriage. He's been engaged so many times in the past but has never actually walked down the aisle. We'll just have to wait and see if this engagement will eventually turn into a marriage. Thank you for sharing the story on how your parents got together. I'm sure your mom was glad your aunt wanted nothing to do with him lol I am so happy you received the Taylor Launter poster and I hope you're enjoying it ;)

"Happy Belated Birthday to Flirting With Obscene! - My new website - Beautiful Lie available on US iTunes - AJ is Engaged"
Thanks to the readers (LaShonda, Jessica, Nick, Lolly, & Angel)who have left a comment on Fantasy/Reality part 53 so far. It's not too late to give me your thoughts on it. I check it everyday to see if there's a new comment. I know I haven't replied to the part 52 comments but I will get to it soon.
This past Saturday January 16th was Flirting With Obscene's 3rd birthday. It's been 3 years since I've officially owned a domain. Hopefully there will be many more years of Flirting With Obscene to come!
January 16th was also my parents' wedding anniversary. They got married on January 16th, 1982 in the Philippines and have been married for 28 years. It's still a mystery to them how they even got married in the first place. I asked them how did my dad propose and they both don't even know exactly how it happened. Apparently my dad didn't do the cliche get down on one knee thing. My mom even says they didn't even really date.
From the bits and pieces of the stories my parents told me it all started out by my dad being attracted to my mom when he saw her at the post office where my dad worked. He asked his co-workers about her and found out she was a teacher at the school in the town they lived in. He really liked her so he did what he could to get her attention. He would send her letters and visit her at her house.
My dad even did his best to eliminate the competition. He would hide the letters the guys who liked my mom would send to her. Apparently, my mom claims that a lot of guys liked her but she was very picky and didn't like any of them in a romantic way. She didn't want any of them because her boyfriend who was in the army died and she didn't think she could find a guy like him.
My dad was persistent though. He did what he could to get my mom's interest. My mom's brother (my uncle) found out that my dad was trying to hook up with my mom and he wasn't happy. My mom says that while my uncle was extremely drunk he went to where my dad worked to find him. When he found my dad, he drunkenly slurred (I'm translating it into English) Are you the one trying to court my sister? My dad didn't deny it and so my uncle tried to beat up my dad but wasn't that successful because he was drunk. When my mom found out about this, she felt sorry for my dad for having to deal with her drunken brother wanting to harm him.
It's a small town so word spreads fast. My mom says she had an old female relative who thought positively of my dad. She told my mom that my dad is a good man and she should be with him. Slowly but surely my mom began to warm up to my dad. Then wham, bam, they got married and I was born in 1985 :O lol
Although, I don't know if I could do it my parents' way. Prior to getting married they didn't really go on official dates (my mom says it's cause my dad dint' have money lol!) and they didn't live together. The one thing I could probably see myself doing like my parents is getting married in my 30's. My mom was 35 and my dad was 33.
It's a new year and I decided to start a new website. Entering contests, sweepstakes, and acquiring freebies/discounts has become a big hobby of mine. There's so many products I've received either for free or at a deep discount. I came up with the concept for a blog titled "Eliminate Full Price."
http://www.eliminatefullprice.com
On Eliminate Full Price I'll discuss my personal contest wins, what I get in the mail, free things I get, and much more. I hope that by having this website I can inspire people like you that it is possible to win. For those of you who enjoy reading my babbling I plan on updating Eliminate Full Price often. I'll still babble here but Flirting With Obscene will be more concentrated on my stories, writing, and Backstreet news.
Speaking of Backstreet news... AJ is engaged! On his birthday January 9th he proposed to his girlfriend Rochelle in Las Vegas. You can read about it and see a picture of him proposing at an article at people.com.
The song "Beautiful Lie" that Nick recorded with Jennifer Paige is now available for sale on the US iTunes. If any of you are feeling generous it would make my month if someone could gift the single to me. I still haven't heard the full version yet.
I haven't started writing Fantasy/Reality part 54 yet. On twitter, I'm following Megan Hart who is one of my favorite writers. Her book "Broken" is brilliant and if you like reading dirty explicit books then you'll enjoy "Broken." Megan tweeted that she wrote 20 pages in ONE day. I tweeted her back saying I wish I could write that much in one day. To my surprise she replied to me and typed "You can." I was so touched that she said that to ME! I thought if I could write 20 pages in ONE day Fantasy/Reality would be done! :p
For those of you who have been following my interests you should know that I LOVE handbags and purses. I recently developed a taste for the designer Linea Pelle. I don't own any Linea Pelle handbags yet but I'm itching to buy one. I do own two Linea bracelets. One bracelet I got from winning their contest and the other bracelet was sent to me because I posted a picture of me wearing the bracelet I won on their Facebook. The picture I took is currently featured on Linea Pelle's blog. It would mean a lot if you all could leave a comment about me on Linea Pelle's blog to show them I have followers. I thought it was really generous of Linea Pelle to send me a bracelet for free. I checked their website and saw the bracelet cost $41.25.

Mel - Hi Mel! Happy Belated 21st Birthday! I'm glad my update could serve as a birthday present. It seems there's a lot of January birthdays. You, Flirting With Obscene, and Nick :D Yes it had been a long time since I updated but I'm glad I finally did it. I don't really have any official resolutions but I do want to be more efficient in updating my websites. I also want to lose weight. I know that's such a cliche resolution but my weight is so bad and is literally weighing me down. It's tough resisting the fatty foods! That totally sucks you got fired but it must be nice to be out of the retail world. Working in retail isn't much fun. I wish you lots of luck in finding another job!
Dawn - Thank you for thinking it was a good chapter. I did get your Christmas card. It arrived on December 24th so you sent it right on time. Sometimes I have too many dirty thoughts about Nick. Just looking at him gets my mind in the gutter.
April - Thank you for thinking the update was great! Blah at computers dying. You'd think with all the technology out there that computers could last for many years. You are lucky to have a 4 year warranty! My computer that died doesn't have a warranty. I can't wait to use my hotel stay in Vegas. I wish I could use it while Backstreet does a concert there but so far they haven't announced their US tour plans. It is tough getting friends together for a trip because everyone has different schedules. I hope you all can work it out. Did you see Taylor on the red carpet at the Golden Globes? I thought it was funny when Guiliana from E! was interviewing him and he kept talking about Olive Garden. Good luck with saving money and starting a savings account. I'm always saving for a possible Backstreet Boys trip. I saw on Kourtney Kardashian's blog that she's promoting something called Belly Bandit for mother's who recently gave birth. It got me thinking of how it's possible that in Fantasy/Reality Viola might get silly offers to promote something like that. I definitely recommend you seeing The Blind Side. I was so happy when Sandra Bullock won a Golden Globe for Best Actress for her performance in it. Cheers to you and like you said I hope 2010 will be the year dreams come true for you, everyone who comes here, and me :D
Steph W. - Happy 18th Birthday Steph! That's so cute you're turning 18 on January 18th. Now that you're 18 I hope you register to vote and buy lotto tickets. I'm sorry that you missed my Christmas card call but to make up for it, if you e-mail me @ jocelyncontest @ gmail.com your home address I can send you a card anyway if you want :)

"Happy New Year Everyone! - Fantasy/Reality Part 53 - Computer Troubles - New Backstreet songs: Figured You Out & Best That I Can"
I'd like to wish everyone a berry happy new year! I'm so happy 2009 is over. I'm ready to take on 2010 and make it a billion times better than last year.
If you're wondering where the hell I got that hot picture of Nick I used in my banner graphic, it's from an interview he did here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bwam7Z8nBd4
He's such a freaking tease in the interview. This is how dirty my mind is. When I saw him lying down on the bed with his hands tucked behind his head I immediately thought that's probably what he does while getting his cock sucked. He just lies back and enjoys it.There's also another part where he's lifting weights. He checks himself out in the mirror and then flexes his biceps. It's so silly to watch because he really looks like he's in love with himself.
To kick off 2010 I added Fantasy/Reality part 53. I invite you all to cherish it and ravish it to the fullest (because it might be another 4 months until I update it again :-\... let's hope not!) Leave a comment. Let me know what you think.
Fantasy/Reality Part 53
I actually got part 53 done while on a "staycation." Over the summer I won a free night stay at any La Quinta Inn. I would have loved to use this free night somewhere cooler like Los Angeles, Reno, or Las Vegas but I chose to stay in the city next to where I live. It was total heaven being away from home. There were no nagging parents, no annoying cousins, and no noisy neighbors. I wish I could have stayed longer. It allowed me to clear my head and gather my thoughts together.
I skimmed through my past updates to check on the last time I added a new part to the story. I was very surprised to find out August 20th was the last time I put up a new part! I hadn't realized it had been so long. I immediately felt so bad to have kept you all waiting. I thought the last time I updated the story was September.
About 80% of part 53 was finished in November but I was having such a difficult time finding the right spot to end it. I didn't want to end it abruptly. I was really torn between updating with what I had or just waiting until I had it in a place where I felt comfortable. I went with waiting and I hope it was worth the wait for you.
I've decided that I don't have writer's block but that I have writer's laziness instead. I have so many ideas running in my head but I have no drive or motivation to write them down. Laziness is such an ugly feeling that I want to get rid of.
To make matters worse my computer broke on December 6th. This derailed my plan to updated in December. I have an HP desktop that my mom bought in 2005. I chatted with an HP associate and he thinks my motherboard died. I haven't had an opportunity to get it fixed yet. Plus I'm not ready to pay for it. The HP associate estimates it'll cost around $250 to $350 to fix it. If anyone out there knows or understands how to fix computers I would appreciate any advice on what to do with my computer.
I know you're thinking, if your computer is broken then how are you updating? I'm currently using my mom's laptop that she never usues. I miss my computer so much though because so many of my files are on there.
*sigh* Lately I've been feeling like a cloud has been hovering over me. All these negative thoughts keep bugging me. I think that's part of the reason I find it hard to write. My mind is consumed with all this stress so it's hard to get into that writing zone. It also doesn't help that what I write involves romance, love, and sex. How can I write about sex when I feel so blah? :(
Something that doesn't make me feel blah though is winning contests. My favorite latest confirmed win is a 3 day 2 night stay at the Rio Vegas Hotel in Las Vegas. I wish I could use the hotel stay for a possible future Backstreet concert but the offer expires March 31st, 2010 and I don't think Backstreet will tour until later in the year. I also won a Samsung II Behold cell phone but the problem is I can't afford the plan. I'm thinking of selling it on eBay but my mom wants me to keep it. I also just received the xBox 360 I won in November. I'm trying to decide on what kind of games to buy for it. I'm thinking of buying DJ Hero. Anyone have any recommendations on games?
Since I won the xBox 360 I'm thinking of selling the Sony Playstation 2 I won a few months ago. If anyone is interested I'm planning on selling it for $75. It's brand new and has never been used. E-mail me if you're interested.
I've seen a couple of movies recently. I saw Avatar two times (not because I loved it but because the 1st time was with my dad and the 2nd time was because my cousin Cyrus wanted to bring me & my 3 bratty cousins to see it as a Christmas present from him). I also saw Invictus because Sherlock Homes was sold out and then I saw The Blind Side with my mom.
I was so blown away by The Blind Side. It was so amazingly written and the acting was wonderful. It's definitely my favorite movie of 2009. If you haven't seen it, I definitely recommend it. Sandra Bullock's Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in the movie is greatly deserved. Before seeing the movie, I had no idea what the plot was. I only knew it was about football. Silly me, I thought since the title had the word "blind" in it I thought it would be about a blind football player lol!
I just remembered that it's almost Nick's birthday. Can you believe he'll turn 30 soon? :O It's like it was only yesterday when he was a hot 19 year old dude and now he's almost 30 and he's still so freaking hot.
Two Backstreet Boys songs have leaked. One is called "Figured You Out." It's an okay song. The chorus reminds me of old school Backstreet. You can listen to it here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HnIHhgGgclM
The other song is called "Best That I Can." It's a bit on the blah side for me...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktTRPbEVtnIHere are some pictures Nick took with Jennifer Paige in Europe a few months ago. They look totally cute together. I still haven't heard the full version of Beautiful Lie and I haven't seen the full music video yet.
Nick and Jennifer Paige pictures here
Often I think about all the people who used to visit my site from the Berry *Delicious* Nick Carter days. I wonder are they even still fans of Backstreet Boys? Do they still read fan fiction? What are they doing? Way back in 1999/2000 I used to chat with a reader named Linda. We eventually lost touch. A few weeks I was wondering about her. I thought she's probably in college since I remembered she was very good academically. Out of nowhere she messages me on Facebook :O I was so shocked she even still remembered me! She said she was listening to Backstreet and it made her think of me. It then made me wonder about the rest of the people who used to come to my site all the time and then all of a sudden stopped. Are y'all still out there? *hears echo* :p*
April - If and when Backstreet tours the US, I would like to do at least the level of Gold VIP. Depending on how I feel I might be tempted by Platinum VIP level for the backstage tour experience. It also depends on how many concerts they'll do on the west coast. If there's a few dates then I might do Platinum. If there's a lot of dates them I might do 2 Gold Vips than go through 1 Platinum. Hopefully in 2010 you'll get your close moment with Nick :) I am keeping my fingers crossed that the tickets, plane, and hotel will work out for you! I'd love to meet you too. Wolfie sounds like a childish name. The name Jacob has more of an edge. Sometimes it's fine to feel dirty :p Flying kites and building sand castles seems like so much fun. It's nice to get out and have those kind of carefree moments. Mason Richardson is adorable. It's amazing how certain genes are passed on. I never thought Mason would be such a popular name. I didn't expect Kourtney Kardashian and her man to name their baby Mason.
_britters_- Yay! Happy new year to you too Britters! :D I think for the "This is Us" album, Backstreet tried too hard to make sure each of them had an equal amount of singing verses. Sometimes it's best to keep it the original way rather than rushing to change it. At least we got to listen to the original way. I barely listen to the album version of the song "This is Us." You said the link to the Brian singing the entire 1st verse & Nick singing "I'm here now" in "This is Us" wasn't working so here's another link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=edIhDuHli-Y A lot of fans on livedaily have been wanting Backstreet to come to Florida so I hope they'll include it in their schedule. I'm praying that they'll allow the boys to do solo backstage tours since they have an idea of how it happens since they went through it during the European tour. Nick was so adorable during the backstage tour vid. He really makes a great tour guide. It was nice that he took the time to explain the different elements of what goes into putting on a concert. That's too bad Sprinkles doesn't ship cupcakes. I know it's not exactly the same but you can buy Sprinkles cupcake mix online or at Williams Sonoma so you can bake the cupcakes yourself if you want. Hopefully Sprinkles in Miami will open soon. I'm amazed that they're growing so fast. They're already opening a Sprinkles in Chicago so Miami should be coming up in the future. I hope I can get my computer fixed too! I miss it so much.
Mandy - Happy new year to you too Mandy! :D The Nick version of "Undone" is so much more pleasant to my ears. Nick sang it better than AJ.
Steph W. - I wasn't able to ask here on my site for Christmas card requests. In December I did ask on Twitter & Facebook if people wanted a Christmas card. Only 2 people gave me their addresses.
Jenna - I'm glad you enjoyed "The Other Carter"! I actually wrote that story when I was in high school. I think the one story about the girl who was with Aaron and Nick is "Fantasy/Reality." It's the only story I can think of that I've written that has a girl who has been involved with Aaron and Nick. I just updated it today so feel free to check it out and let me know what you think.
